Here's my new fish from FAOIS in Oldsmar, Florida. I've had it in QT for 2 weeks so far. At the store it ate Mysis very well. It still has a great appetite for Mysis, and picks at Rod's Food. What else should I try to feed it?

Nice CBB. I love mines too. Also great that you are quarantining! Mines was fed only blackworms at the LFS when I bought it. So I bought a $1 worth of blackworms to feed til I weaned it on frozen PE Mysis and frozen brine shrimp. My doesn't care at all for pellets or flake, just frozen.

I'm just looking for some dietary diversity.

Riverside Ca??? I was stationed at March in the 70's, and my son flew out of March to Iraq a few years back.

I drive by March off the 215 sometimes and see those big military passenger planes. I wondered if they were flying soldiers over there. I guess now I know. I am also looking into getting a CBB soon. I am in the process of getting my QT setup. Where did you get yours, what is FAOIS, do you have a link to them?

FAOIS is a high quality LFS in the Tampa area, known for having the best fish and corals available in west Florida.

I have mine in the QT for two weeks now. The aptesia in my main tank is out of control. He did eat brine in the shop and he eats both in my tank, mysis and brine. I also put into the QT a rock from my main tank with aptesia to see if he likes to eat them. My LFS guy says that it depends on the fish and they are a hit an miss. HE WAS ALL OVER THE APTESIA AND ATE EVERY SINGLE ONE!!!!

I have been a little lazy with the Joes Juice lately and my aiptasia population is growing as well. Im glad to hear yours eats the pest. Keep me posted on how it does with your corals. How long until it goes into the main tank? I know it is always a risk, but I think it will be a risk I am willing to take too. I just today bought the stuff to get my QT back up again.

What size tank would you suggest for these fish? They are amazing and when I upgrade to a 70g I want some fish that have a bit more personality and movement.

how can you see the difference? Just curious.
If my memory serves me correctly, I'm quite sure I've read that the "beak" on the male projects somewhat downward from horizontal when looking at in in the context of the plane of the body itself.

Does that make sense?

I tried that with a rock with Aptasia from my sump. The Copperband cleaned it up!!!

Other than aptasia, what else do they eat off live rock? Mine cruises around pecking the rock. Is it eating copepods, or worms?

Are these fish likely to also nip on Clams and acros? I have some aptasia that is getting beyond my control and I need a quick fix.
