Another sad day.
I am done with these fish. This is the second one I have had. Same results with both. They eat great and look great for 4 months. Even the night before they act as usual. One day I will find them on the bottom of the tank in great distress with heavy breathing. Both times I have checked all tank levels and observed other fish and inverts. No problems.
My first one I named "Butter" ... my second one named "Parkay" is currently in the freezer trying to have a painless death.
No more copperbands for me even though they are such beautiful fish. Anyone else here have similar results or success stories?

I have had the same luck with them. I have tried 4 I think and found all of them dead a few months after purchase. The night before they are fine and the next day they are dead. I don't think I am going to try any more either.

I was able to keep one alive for just over a year once than lost 2 within 5 months.

I have decided no more also, gone to peppermint shrimp for the Aptaisa control with great success.

Sounds like the same thing that happens with lot of smaller angels....you just have to wonder if it's form being caught with cyanide. It's sad.

Yep. Thinking same thing. Somebody could make a mint if they could figure out how to breed them in a large columnar tank or something.

I kept one for two years. It didn't make it through my tank move 2 months ago. I replaced it with one that died about 3 weeks ago. I'm not sure if I am going to try another or not. The trick with the first one was a steady supply of mysid shrimp. I'm not sure why the second one didnt make it, it was looking very healthy.

I just tried another one. Lasted 5 days He was real small though and never ate.
