The store didn't tell me this was a difficult fish. It's not eating.
I bought the Mysis Shimp and it ate some yesterday but today it wouldn't come out from behind the rocks.

mine almost starved to death as it would not eat until I put live bloodworms in my tank. he did not eat them, but it did something to him bc i put some defrosted mysis in about 2 seconds later and he ate it all up.

although the copperband did die for some unknown reason 4 months later. I would never keep one again, too difficult.

Copperbands are many times finicky about food. Try feeding him a variety of foods and see which one he'll go after.

was he eating at the LFS? Give him a few days. They are a somewhat shy fish at first so give him a little time to get acclamated. Keep trying to feed, also some people swear by adding the garlic it helps entice them to eat. keep us updated.

you might want to ask the LFS if they have any copperbands who have been eating aiptasia. All the successful copperbands i have seen were aiptasia eaters or at one time were used to clear it. Not for sure, but this is what i have observed bc i know people with them and happen to really like the fish.
