coquina clams

Anyone ever try keeping coquina clams? Any success?

I've been wondering about this also. Are they tidal, need to have the water recede? They probably wound not be desirable in a dsb - they dig pretty deep into the sand at the beach.

I put cherrystone clams {quahogs} in my semi-aggressive tank and they stay alive. They go straight from the refridgerator too.:eek2:

I tried some several years ago in a 29G tank. They lived for a while, but eventually all died. I'd say in a matter of just a few months they were all gone. So, I'm just leave them at the beach.
