Coral beauty very thin, barely eats

I've had a Coral Beauty for around 3 - 4 weeks and it is very thin compared to my other fish. When I put in a cube of food it will only eat perhaps 1 piece and thats it, it is incredibly picky. When I looked in my tank from above I saw how thin it was compared to my other fish. I have tried Mysis, Brine shrimp, Bloodworm, Angelfish food, flake, pellet, seaweed on a clip, but it wont touch any of these. Have I got to face facts that this fish most likely wont survive much longer?

have you tried raw shrimps and clams? cut the clam into pieces and stick the soft stuffs to a piece of rock surface. i don't have an angel but this method works with butterflies including copperband butterfly ime. good luck.

Man that stinks usually angelfish are pigs at feeding time, what other fish do you have? Does the CB have a bully or any competition?

If you have or could set up a QT you could try a little solitary treatment to get its appetite going.

Try adding Selcon or Garlic to the food and see if that doesn't spark it's appetite. The CB usually doesn't have any problems with eating. I'm wondering if there wasn't a collection problem with chemicals that you're dealing with here.

what was it eating when you bought him at the store? Give them a call. But yea, have the exact opposite problem, my CB is a huge piglet. Sometimes I wish he/she would go on a hunger strike on occasion, lol.

No bullies but very piggy tank mates. I have a Midas Blenny and Bangaii Cardinal that attack the food as soon as it goes in the tank/ The Coral Beauty sort of looks at the pieces as they float past but rarely eats them. It will suck on the bigger pieces but spit them out, it will only eat smaller pieces, but even then its probably one 1 piece per feeding session.

The only other tank I have is a 27 gallon planted freshwater tank, I was actually considering tearing it down and using it for QT, I dont know if I could set it all up in time to save this fish though.

Im going in tomorrow so i'll ask them. Im sure they told me Mysis before but mine wont eat it.
