Coral feeding

Any other reefers feed their elegance corals mandarin fish? Looked at mine when I got home from work and just the very tip of the tail was sticking out. Couldn't figure out what is was until I recognized the striped pattern of the fish that was showing through the coral's flesh. :sad2: They have both been in there for 2 years without any problem.

Nice.. The closest I have is my trumpet eating my hermit crabs.. I witnessed this yesterday, so I guess anything is possible :D Sorry for your loss, i hope this means your elegance is doing well..

Fish looked and acted normally the night before. It ate frozen food and pellets and appeared healthy. Amazing how quickly the coral digests food. Looked this morning with a flashlight and there was a small pile of goo beside the coral. I was afraid the coral was going to split open when the fish was inside because the flesh was pulled so tight.
