Coral frag

I just got a candy came coral frag and I can't get the dang thing off the button! There is probably an inch of glue between the frag and the button and that thing is on there! Any suggestions?

Flathead screwdriver. Push it between the skeleton and the plug and slowly twist. Should pop off

Man that sounds like a pain in the but luckily my LFS does their own fraging and puts a thin layer of glue, enough to keep it there if you want to keep it on the plug but also enough that if you don't you can just pop it right off but I've heard that using a razor blade to cut the glue works well but just keep it away from the frag itself you might have a little glue left on the base of the coral but that should be fine

If you can't pop it off the plug, you could just use a saw or some bone cutters & cut the skeleton as close to the base as you can. This all depends on how much of the skeleton you have to work with though.
