I have a jar of coral frenzy not the biggest fan of it, but guess it’s ok I mix it with mysis and or brine shrimp once in a great while. Then I will Target feed SPS-LPS. What are you going to be feeding?
I just feed the tank w/ a baby medicine dropper and some frozen mysis and brine shrimp i defrost and keep in a baby food bottle in the fridge.
let us know what you think of the coral frenzy.
I don't quite agree with that nutshell interpretation.
What I get out of it is:
1. Food is important for coral growth and health, lights alone is not enough.
2. Corals have an optimal water flow range for feeding. This will vary by species so some work is required to keep a diverse tank happy.
3. If your corals are extended they will feed. In nature this might happen more at night, but I read several passages that indicate they will feed when food is present.
4. Some of our standard equipment like skimmers can interfere with feeding since they can take away good food along with wastes.
Something important that is missing from the article is that different corals will eat different things. The following reefkeeping article discusses that aspect a bit more.
