Is there a glue or epoxy that I can use to stick my corals to rocks underwater? I don't want to tear my aquascape down every time I get a new coral to use superglue. It would be nice to do it all in the water.
You can actually use gel super glue and form a ball of it underwater which still sets and holds like normal (there are videos on youtube if your looking for more in depth)
But yes there is also aquarium safe two part putty which (if design for reefing) comes in a coralline purple color
[If not its usually a wierd but ok gray color]
The 'Reef Glue' gel super glue is the easiest for sticking corals and hold them better than the epoxy I find. The epoxy is better for escaping the rocks.
It's literally just superglue gel. Generic or whatever doesn't matter. Cyanoacrylate Gel. Most us reefers have been using it for decades. I just get the 3 tube packs from a home improvement place for like $2
What he said. Just read the back and make sure it's cyanoacrylate GEL. As long as the package says GEL and cyanoacrylate. Also most people will tell you to have some warm water in a bowl for afterwards lol You'll probably be soaking your hand and picking it off your fingers for an hour.
I have used jbj water weld and loctite super glue gel directly in the water without any issues. Both seem to make my skimmer skim a little harder for an hour or so tho..
