Hi all!

Is there a book that is any of you would recommend for coral ID and information on each particular species to have on hand? Looking for something that ID's many types and explains if they are LPS, SPS or softies, water flow that is preferred, lighting and hardiness of each.

Thank you for any help.

Aquarium Corals by Eric Borneman is a great overall book.

Corals: A Quick Reference Guide by Julian Sprung is also good.

For very precise stoney identification, check out Corals of the World by JEN Veron.

These are all linked from the ReefCentral Bookstore. A link to the store is provided at the bottom of every page.

A Pocket Expert Guide to Marine Invertebrates by Ronald L. Shimek, Ph.D.

It covers coral and invertebrates, and it fits in your coat pocket. It's 448 pages. I bring it to the LFS whenever I go.

Mr 098,

That sounds just like what I am looking for. That is perfect!

Thank you I will look into all of these.
