coral id?

I got a good sized piece of this and the bottom part was bleached and only the tips remained. when I got it, it was all brown, no green and now its getting green like the pic. The pic isn't mine I saw it when i was surfing the web one night. any idea what this is?

Was this a fully branched coral structure? Was there a plating/encrusting growth type on the base? Sure looke like my monti confusa in terms of the color and polyp structure.

I have some of the monti confusa and it does send up growth structure from the plating/encrusting base that resemble these.
