looking at an ID for this coral was sold out of an LPS tank as a plate coral

oh okay that goby helps put the polyps in perspective. Yeah thats definantly not a cup coral. it almost looks like hydnaphora?

We have the same piece at my lfs. It was ordered as and labeled as a crater coral: Turbinaria reniformis. Although a google search doesnt pull an exact match the one we have and purchased under that name is identical to yours.
