So its a zoanthid

It's more likely a Palythoa, but they are closely related

Looks exactly like some palythoas I had, even down to the splitting around the edge.

Palys generally have a 'stem' while Zoas grow shorter like a mat. The Palys will shade the Zoas so it's better to keep them a short distance apart even though they get along.
