Thanks! I wish I knew they were hard to raise when I got it. It did great for the first month and has been recessing since. I need to do more research and see what I can do to improve things.

Yea I work at a great shop that fills you in on pros and cons, I wish more places did. They only live about a year in captivity(yes there are outliers to that rule) even with special food. Best of luck they are definitely a favorite of mine!

Feed him! They only get 20% of their food from photosynthesis. It's usually how they die, starvation.

Granted it's my responsibility to ask the right questions about care and such but my LFS knows I'm new and should have at least mentioned something.

This is how it's looking right now. I tried feeding Reef Chili to it last night. Do you think it's going to come back or is it too far gone?

it wont come back its far too gone.. goniopora isn't a easy coral to keep
