Coral Identification

Ok I have a question. As most of you may have noticed by my user name, Im a boat captain by trade, and do fishing and sea life charters out of Ding Darling Wild life refuge. Yesterday I was fishing off Sanibel in Pine Island sound, and pulled up a couple of cool pieces of coral. I brought them home and dipped them then put them into my tank. Can anyone tell me what they are and a little about them?
Thanks,
Dan

Found out exactly what it is, and its called bryozoan, and is a filter feeder. Im lucky enough to get a correct identification for another club member in email.

Thanks all who responded!
