CORAL magazine. Does anyone receive it in the mail?

I hope you guys don't mind me starting a thread.

But I got Ron a subscription to the magazine for Christmas, they have cashed the check, but he hasn't receive anything yet.
He has checked and there is a new issue out. I am really starting to get PO'ed and so is Ron. :mad2: I think he is starting to think I didn't get it for him, thank goodness I have a copy of the cashed check.

I tried contacting them, but have heard nothing back. If you receive this magazine through the mail, have you received one lately?

Did you get it directly from them or a third party? I know I ordered some mags though some kind of broker on e-Bay and it took 3 months or so for the subscription to start. Great deals and he stated the time frame up front... (2 years of Men's Health for 9 or 10 bucks for example). Could that be the case?

I have been thinking about getting it but have yet to subscribe. I guess this is going to make me wait even longer. Could you our Ron please keep us updated on this?

I got the subscription straight from them.

I have also went through Ebay to get a subscription to the Disney magazine {before they decided not to publish it anymore :mad2: } and even that didn't take as long as this magazine is taking. I know it's not put out every month, but with all the problems there is no way I am getting this again for Ron.

I'll keep you up to date if and when he gets it. If it doesn't get here soon, they are going to have one mad pregnant woman calling them with a few choice words.

I might have some insight for you. First call them directly if your not happy.

second......The magazine comes out every other month, so only 6 issues per year. my subscription happened to end in december and they said if I didnt renew before dec 24. then I would miss the feb. issue. so the next issue I would recieve would be April.

and I actually just pulled this from their website.

"Expect to receive your subscription's first issue within six to eight weeks of receipt of your order. To receive the next issue of Coral, the February/March 2006 issue, we will need to receive your order no later than December 23, 2005. If we do not receive it by this date, your subscription will begin with the April/May 2006 issue."

I went and checked my online banking to look up the check. I mailed it the same day I wrote it out, which was 12/14/05. It never reached my bank until 2/13/06.

Either it took along time to get to them {maybe because of the holiday mail and if I remember right their in CA}, it got lost somewhere, or they just sat on it for sometime and then finally cashed it. But like you mentioned, his subscription will more then likely start with next months issue.

I will show him this thread and maybe that will help calm him down.

Holy smokes... $10 bucks an issue for a mag subscription...:eek1:
I thought it was bad enough I paid $16 the other night for Sky and Telescope and Astronomy off the rack.....Dam....

cover price is not $10........they are charging $10 for a back issue.....which seems pretty dumb, IMO. you would think they want to get rid of back issues, so they dont lose money.

Your husband should love the mag. It's to bad its not monthly. I have had my subscription for about a year and a half. Never missed a mag yet, so IMO they are on the ball to make sure the customer gets what they want. so other then this glitch in the beginning, I am sure you will be happy with their service.....

...if it were me. I would call and tell them you sent the check in before the Dec deadline and try and get a free Feb issue out of the deal!
