Well, if I was still living in CHESHIRE, I would stop over and help you out! That being said, you have a great light...and as long as it's not too far off the water, you should be able to grow anything anywhere in the tank. I also have a 120 and run the Tek Elite 8 bulb...and grow Acros from the substrate.

I'm no sps guy but general rule of thumb the harder the coral the higher you place it. Most sps like cLean water and lots of flow. Good luck nice list indeed

I think most sps will be fine as long as you acclimate them to your light properly. I start mine in the sand bed and gradually move it up towards it final location. If you see color loss or bleaching, move them back down. Most can tolerate high light is acclimated properly. My rockwork only goes up half way, so not far to move up. However, I have LEDs and can change intensity of the light.

I know with the red planet, it becomes more red/pink the higher you go, but if you want to bring out that green base color, it likes lower light. I have my green slimer mid-tank, but it has grown to the top half and color is uniform. Stags grow fast in any placement. I have Surf & Turf and Teal Stag. I keep my superman and sunset monti in the lower half because I found it becomes richer in orange/green and blue/red in the bottom for some reason. I bleached them when I went too high. Other people have difference experiences and could move their corals to the top near the waterline. It depends on your lighting I guess and what type of lighting the coral was previously in. Acclimation is key.
