OK my pearly bubble is exuding brown stringy stuff...what does this usually mean?

Mine does this regularly every couple of weeks. I think it might be zooxanthellae that it expels but some corals do this from time to time and it doesn't seem to be any worse for it. Last time it did it it was quite spectacular - each mouth on the coral simultaneously expelled a huge string in unison. Wish I'd had my video recorder out. Next time I'll be sat there waiting!
