I wouldn't do it. What are you thinking of accomplishing by using this on the clam? If there are parasites or something there are different ways to treat. The gill structure on most clams is very delicate so I would be very reluctant to use any chemical on my clam.
I am not so much concerned with clam pests specifically, but pests generally. I am giving everything a good dip from now on. I have fought everything that is out there and I am determined to turn a new leaf with my next tank.
Understood, but I really wouldn't dip a clam. You could put it in a QT tank for a while to see if it is healthy or has snails, but doing any kind of dip is likely to kill it.
