coralife PC ballast replacement?

I just lost the ballast that powers the acintics in my coralife PC fixture.

Does anyone know if it is possible to order a replacement ballast from them? Coralife's website seems to be down for an upgrade at the moment and fosters and smith doesn't seem to have replacement parts.

I realize that this could be an exucse to buy a better fixture, but I'd rather not have to drop $500-700+ at the moment.....

I to had a CF ballast go out on me about 2 months ago. I called ESU(now Central Aquatics) and they sent me a new CF ballast free of charge. My unit is about a year old. They were great to work with. Their customer service was super. Also, sent me a new 10K 150 watt DE halide bulb free. I was trying to remedy a yellow look with one of my bulbs. This was also free of charge! They really worked to help me with my problems.

hellolights has replacement coralife 2x65w ballasts for $26.00, even if they are not a drop in replacement for your fixture a little soldering, some heatshrink and you're good to go. Been working great for me....

I just finished pulling the light apart to verrify the type of ballast that is in the unit. They certianly were creative to make this out of extruded aluminum, but its not exactly the best made piece of equipment that I've come across.

You definatly get what you pay for......

I'll probably try to repair it, if it doesn't work it will just get replaced!
