i have a 120gal with 175lbs of live rock. i purchased the rock from another reefer, it was approx 8mos old, and covered in coraline. now the tank has been set up for about 3mos, and everthing has looked great. good water perameters, good flow, good lighting.
my problem is the coraline algae has gradually been dying off and turning white. it started about 2 weeks ago.
i have some zoos, ricordea, a small acro frag, 5 fish, and a spiny oyster. everything is thriving except the coralne.
i thought maybe it started to cycle, but water testing says no. i guess it is still possible though. i do small water changes 12-15 gal a week, with 1 large change of 25-30 gal a mo.
i'm not sure what's going on. any help would be appreciated.
