Something is happening to my coraline, it first turns from purple to a bright pink then an orange and finally white. it started in just afew spots but now its becoming widespread. all of my corals seam good, i would like some advice please. my calcium is 450, alk 11.5dkh. i use a calcium reactor to maintain those levels and i supplment iodine and iron twice a week.

The same thing has happened to me....my coralline grew fast and furious when I was dosing 2-part B-ionic every day.

About 4 months ago I installed a calcium reactor running Schuran media and even though my calcium and alk levels are still good, the coralline is dying back steadily.

i'm puzzled ...the calcium being added by the reactor must be slightly different from that in the 2-part ??

Mg checked monthly...currently is 1300+, nitrate and phosphate are 0....

my SPS health and growth is very good...no casualties, etc....

Do you have lots of snails? They could start to eat the coraline. They grind it away at night. I had lots of Mexican Turbo snails and when the other algaes they may go after the coraline, which after all is algae.
