Does anyone have any information on where I might find research material related to coralline algae? I've read and experienced over the years various colors showing up in different conditions. Purple seems to like low flow, darker areas, and green tends to like higher flow, bright areas (examples of my experience). Has anyone done any scientific studies or experimentation in this area? I think it would be interesting to have scientific, proven reference material for people to use that wish to grow whatever color coralline they would like. I might even be able to do some of the experimentation myself (in the future), but it would help to not have to reinvent the wheel if someone has already taken this on.
Not everyone likes the stuff, but we all have to live with it in some form. So if we have to live with it and if it's possible to have some control over the color, might as well make the best of it! Thanks for any pointers!
