Corals for a FOWLR!!!

I have a 215G FOWLR with various Butterflys, Tangs and a Blue Face Angel and hate looking at all that bare rock. Are there any corals that will survive in this environment? What about GSP or Xenia or some Leathers? Anyone have any corals in their FOWLR?
Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

id try some mushrooms or gsp. Try some small frags and see if your fish have a taste for them. I bet they will be fine

i'm going to be going zoos and rics and mushrooms and some lps....but i think thats about it we shall see i have a halide i might throw it on the tank but i dont know what im gonna do

Don't think lps or zoos will make it with the butterfly. Mushrooms and gsp's and maybe some type of leathers might make it. Like joey said try some small frags and see what happens.

I do have a LTA guarded by a pair of marron clowns who won't let any other fish near it!
I took a large rock covered with Xenia from my reef tank and put it in the FOWLR and no one touches it. I wish they would as it grows like a weed!
I also put a large rock covered with GSP in the FOWLR and the polyps will not open which surprised me. I guess they must be nipping at it although I haven't seen them. Of all things I expected GSP to be OK!

it may take them (gsp) a bit to open. The change in your water parms(from one take to anther) give them a few days

I'm geting my corals confused! The large rock is covered with Anthelia not Xenia. Which is another problem as it spreads like crazy and I can't get rid of it! Anyone know of a fish that WILL eat Anthelia?

It's not Coral, but you could try an anemone.

Do u need MH's for an Anemone? If not, what lighting do they require?

It's been almost a week and only a few GSP polyps have opened. I guess they know they are going to get nipped! I took one of the GSP covered rocks from from my FOWLR and put it in my reef tank and all the polys opened within 24 hours.

I just cut a strip off my GSP (getting too close to the overflow) & it's taken about 4 days for them to start opening.

i have a huge toadstool leather and cabbage coral in my predatory tank, along with a 12" carpet and a few different kinds of polyps
