Coris Wrasse has been attacked?!

I purchased this fish from my LFS in perfect health (had been at the store over a week, watched it feed, life was good) and it went into hiding... go figure.

I've seen it once before this, and life was good then, too. Came out, ate, back to the sand bed!

Now, its out and about, wanting to feed, but it looks like the entire lower half of its jaw is just plain gone.

I have not tried to catch the fish, as i'm not sure what I could do for it even if i did...

Any help is appreciated!

Sure its not mouth rot? Ive had something simliar and used melafix and it seamed to help a lot. No expert, just an idea?
