Dont know if you guys have heard, but Steve and the Reef suffered a fire today. Hit the store pretty hard. I'm sure even a best wishes would help cheer him up a bit. So if you would/could hit him up an FB and give him a thought.

I assume the fire was at the store?

Very sad! Hoping a lot of the livestock was at the new location.
 
At the old store. Not sure how much he had moved over, but I do know he had a pretty good amount of stock at old location still
 
I just messaged Steve today that I need to come by an pick up some more SPS and perhaps a wrasse within the next few weeks. :(
 
Wow.... that's terrible...was just there two weeks ago and bought a nice Acan colony. I just sent him a email! Does anyone know any more info, and how Steve is doing?

Just left the store. He is in the process of moving everything over to the new location.

I had never been there. We’re they moving or opening a second location? I see they have updated their address on Facebook.
 
Steve's always had the best SPS and acan (maybe zoas, too) selection of any LFS I've been to in the STL region, and a great guy to boot.

Hope he's still able to move to the new shop in a few weeks. If so, definitely pay him a visit!
 
Did anything get the other side? I know there was a lot more livestock on the other side, but I'm assuming he lost all livestock on that side. :(

Does anybody know how the fire started?

Steve said that the cause of the fire is not known yet. They know where it started but now how.
I believe most of the livestock in the back was lost.
 
Thanks for the update.....yea I was curious about the other side as well.... which was the main part of the store....
