Cost for a 75 gallon

Hey all, just a quick question. Been wanting to pick up a 75 or 90 gallon with black trim and silicon (non reef ready). Getting out to the lfs's isn't terribly convenient right now between my and my wife's schedules. Made some calls and sent a couple messages and the one response I did get from one lfs was 500$ for a reef ready with a stand (indicated I wanted just the tank). Just wondering how much people who have recently purchased one of these paid. Thanks - john

Brand is going to make a big difference in price. But assuming your LFS carries the typical AGA and Marineland, that sounds like about the right price for a 75 and stand (understand you only need the tank).

I just paid in the neighborhood of 325 for a reef ready 65gal. AGA about 6 months ago. So 500 for a 75 and stand sounds about right to me.
 
Oh..... just realized you wanted NON reef ready. Sorry, I guess that makes my comment pretty irrelevant lol.

Haha no worries still appreciate the reply, yeah I have an internal weir I will install and drill it myself for a bean animal

$500 w/ stand on a reef ready 75/90 Aqueon or Marineland sounds close. Probably around $300-$350 without the stand, a tad less for non-drilled. I paid about $480 for my 110 RR (Marineland, tank only) a little over a year ago.

If you have time, browse craigslist or your local reef club. Aquarium equipment sells for dimes on the dollar if you have some patience.

Petco dollar sale has Aqueon 75's for $75, but they don't have many and not all locations get them.

Add a DIY Gl*******s overflow or similar for $100 or less, and it's under $200 for 75 RR tank, plus stand

My understanding is Petco has revised their $1/gal sale to only include tanks under 40gal. The 40 and 75gal tanks are 1/2 price.

That may be true. I know the sale earlier in the year had the 75gal for $1/gal but I never found a store that actually carried them.
