Cost per Killowat in Miami

Hello guys,

Trying to determine the cost of Electrical for my tank but cant figure out the cost per killowat? RC has a standard of 0.12 but dont know what it is for the Miami dade area? Can you help

If you look at your bill you will see that there are fees, taxes, charges, usage, etc etc. so it is all a matter of what and how you want to calculate your cost of electricity. For me, if I only use "Electric Service Amount" my cost is about $0.095/kWh

If I use the "Actual Electric Charges" my cost is right at $0.11/kWh
YMMV but sounds like 12 cents is a good estimate

According to http://www.fpl.com/rates/pdf/Residential.pdf

Your onpeak cost for energy is roughly .09 but when adding the fuel charge that will bring you to .13 per kwh.

Thanks Guys, I gave them a call and they told me its .11 KWH. So roughly my tank is spending about $20 a month.. Not bad!

11 cents sounds right... 13 cents is on the high side since it is only for on-peak usage..
