Asked this on the website contact form but I thought I'd also post here for the benefit of others...
I'm trying to decide on a fixture to cover my 93 gallon rimless cube, dimensions are 30x30x24h. I can't possibly see how the radion xr30 pro can cover 30x30; first of all, it has two offset clusters, which indicates that the coverage should be a rectangle rather than a square. Second, the xr15 (with only one cluster) claims only 24x24, which translates to a coverage on the xr30 of maybe 30x24 ( or a little less than 30, because there isn't quite 6" between the two clusters). And thirdly, the claim of 24x24 on the xr15 is with the wide angle lenses, while the xr30 claims a wider coverage with narrower lenses! So please, help me to understand the reasoning behind the claims of coverage on these fixtures, and in specific please answer this question: would I not be able to get 30x30 coverage with the xr15, if the light is the appropriate height above the water, with a wide or narrow angle lens? Thanks!
