how can I cover all my tank so the eel can not get out? I have an emperor 400 with bio wheels and it flows into my tank. so how can i cover where the water flows to the tan?/ shoul d i get another kind of filter and if so what kind. thanks

Do you have glass tops on the tank? You can purchase plastic strips which can be cut to shape and atach on to the back edge of the glass. Be sure to cut it in as close as possible to the profile of the hang on filter. My sense is an eel would be discouraged by the water flowing back into the tank. Added resistance from a piece of plastic would probably deter it from going out that opening. I had a similar set-up and my eel never got out. If you have a good rock pile for the eel to hide in, the chance of escape is minimized.

Ensure that your moray has a real shelter(s) readily available. I've had eels with & without PVC cave systems & the difference in behavior is dramatic (at least in my experience). I currently have two morays in my 100gal system with a buried PVC cave network in the DSB with multiple entrances hidden within the rockwork. I have had no escape attempts whatsoever. The eels are relaxed, & glide in & out of their chateau at lesure. My hood is now partially open (simple glass panes) & has been since last January without incident.
I used heavy duty lucite prior to this but it slowly warped from the heat of the lights. For smaller eels like the types I have, stock glass enclosures should work fine. I've seen some systems that the lids are actually weighed down.
good luck.
