How hard is a cowfish to take care for? also what are some requirements or recommendation's for them? Don't worry I do not have one but was considering doing a FO based off if this fish.
They are fairly easy to take care of, keeping the parameters at a good level is very important, as well as making sure that no fish pick on the cowfish as well. If it gets stressed out in anyway, it will unleash toxins, which has the potential to kill other fish. Also make sure you put carbon in the sump, as it helps to partially counteract the toxins.
You also need to make sure all of their food sinks and does not eat off the surface. Most die even by experienced hobbiests from bouyancy issues. They also are poor swimmers, mine died from a powerhead.
