I have a fairly new 55g set-up, about 10 weeks in. Currently, the only occupants are 1 candy cane coral, 1 Banggai Cardinal, 1 medium hermit crab, a baby hermit crab, 3 turbo snails, 3 astria snails, a couple cerith snails and a feather duster. I have seen a small white micro star and what I believe to be a bristle worm that hitchhiked along on some live rock.
I was just out of town for a week and had the gf caring for the fish, topping up water, ect..... I came back to see what appears to be a bite out of the stock of my candy cane. Would one of my other inhabitants, such as the hermit, be likely to take a bite of my coral?
