I'm interested on a Marine Aquarium doser that I saw on Craiglist but the guy wants to meet at a Publix Supermarket and refuses to give his address. What you guys think will be the smarter solution?:worried:

I don't do cl transactions at home I meet at public places so his request makes sense. Meet somewhere that has an outlet tho like a fast food place so you can test it. Have your phone ready to snap a pic if you need to.

+1, i usually dont do those type of transactions at the house either. Only time i let people over is if i know them like off Reef Central or FMAS

+1 always meet in a public place. The fact that he is suggesting this means that he is as concerned as you. lol

I appreciate the Craiglist poster not wanting to meet at his home but a potential aquarium doser purchaser doesn't seem like a terrifying person to me. Good luck with your purchase.

Ok, I got the pump. It's brand new. It's a young guy supposedly went to Las Vegas and spent all his money and need it money fast, so he sold pump.

I always used Kalwasser to supplement tank ( around 2 1/2 years from previous tank) but lately it's when I started adding corals to tank( patient it's one of my qualities) and I had the need to add more supplements to tank, Do you guys add the supplements and keep using kalk?

The only time I bought something broke was when they did not give me their address.

I will not buy anything again if they dont give their address or I cant test product.

If you buy outside their home. Make sure you can test the product where ever you are if its electronics.

I use both. Kalk helps with keeping the pH elevated, and has a secondary benefit of helping with phosphates. It also helps by decreasing the 2-part demand. Also been using kalk for close to 2 years. I would continue, especially if your system is automated.

Rovster, so just keep using kalk as before, test alkalinity and calcium everyday to find out how much of part 2 supplement I need to dose. Mag is always ok because I change 2 gallon of salt water everyday.

Thats how i would do it Elvira. Thats what I do.

As someone else mention, Kalk has other benefits as well as it being a balance Ca/Alk solution. Its dirt cheap so decreasing you 2 part demmand is an added benefit.

BTW- what kind of doser?
