I've been very careful to dip everything I put in but still a few must have sliped in somehow. Now the hunt for Interceptor is on!

Red bugs are pretty easy to deal with. Its the AEFW you need to look out for.

If you don't mind paying for 6 pills you can order from the link below without a script...if they ask for one don't worry about it, the order will go through.

Most online sites do state that a prescriptopn is required, but its funny how they don't wait for one. I've ordered from the big pet med site here in Fl, and got the interceptor w/o a prescription.... they only state a prescription is required for legal purposes.

Damn, I knew that Southdown shouldn't be used in an aquarium. :D

I called my vet ( that I've paid a small fortune to over the years) and they will I hope give me the pills.

The vet just called and said ok. The box comes with 12 tabs for $70.00. How important is it to measure this stuff in grams for dosage? I'm asking because I dont have a scale. I stoped selling drugs a long time ago :)

1 big dog pill, 75 lbs (I think) is good for about 300 gallons. Dunno the dize of your tank, but yo can do the goesintas. It is not that critical to get to the mg, but don't massively od either.

Well treatment 1 done. I don't see them at all. So water change complete. Next weekend I can do it again, WEEEEEEE!

schwebb,
See, I told you not to worry. Now, just make sure you never ever ever put another coral in your tank without dipping, QTing, Turkey basting and praying.

Give me RB's anyday... These damn AEFW's are running my month. The worst thing I got from the interceptor treatment was a little cyano and a bryopsis outbreak (yes... I run a DSB;)). I'm losing a numnber of nice pieces in the treatment. Oh well. I guess that's life. It's been sunny for way too long (figurative, of course:D). I guess it's time for my rainy season... Who will stop the rain?

Well I just did the flash light inspection and I don't see any more bugs. With lights off the flash light was a good way to see them. Anyway I see my snails are still alive. Does that mean the dose of Interceptor wasn't strong enough?

It won;t hurt your snails, just your crabs, shrimp, etc. I can pick them out without a magnifying glass now, but you may want to try a magnifying glass with the smaller window (like a bifocal) and look at one you know was infected to see if you notice any movement. Once movement catches your eye, you start to see a ton of them. You likely won't be able to see any if you followed the interecptor treatment. Just make sure to do the other two treatments in tandom.
