does anyone on here remember the articale where some guy in japan was able to keep both fresh and salt water fish together? if so do you have the link or any info? thank in advance anyone.

I have kept Black Mollies in all my SW tanks. I use them to cycle and try to keep a few in the tank for feeding. They are continously breeding and the fry make good fish food. My other fish would follow them around the tank day and night llike a parade looking for a free meal. They are very peacefull. just have to acclimate them slowly to salt water. Ive heard that all brackish water fish can live in salt.

yeah most live-bearers are brackish water fish (guppies, mollies, platys, etc...) and mollies do the best in a true marine environment (of all the live bearers). there are puffers (yellow-sot) that are brackish, and fish like mono-argentenus that are brackish also. there are several fish in the fish store that do well in salt or fresh and vice versa. i think a brackish water tank would be fun.

i know all about the brackish im talking about a fully marine fish and a fully fresh water fish living in the same tank.....it had something to do with bubbles....man now i sound like a crazy moron hahaha....well its ok if no one remembers...i'll forget. thanks to all who replied.
