creepy/cool moths

i don't know if it's the heat or what ? been getting crazy moths this summer. the bats are going beserk in my back yard.

I'm jealous that you found a luna moth and a virginia tiger moth. I dont know the last moth pic off hand though. But i love moths nice finds

The lunas are awesome we live close to the mountains and have hundreds of them in mid-late august!! Enjoy they disappear fast

I'm a huge fan of moths. I actually almost went to college for Entomology. One of the best ways to attract anything in the area is to string a white sheet out between two trees in the woods and put a spotlight on it. I'd say it's a fun thing to do with kids but I just plain ole enjoy doing it myself and I'm 30.

You can buy eggs online too. You hatch them, get them on a branch of a tree and enclose that branch in a large net. From there you can just watch them. You can breed them easily after that and continue the cycle.

Cercropias are my favorite. Stealth creatures of the night.
