Crocea clam placement

just bought a nice blue Crocea yesterday. Just wanted a little input on where to put him i have 2 150 DEs on a 21" deep tank.
i know they they need to be on a rock. i have two spots i can put him. 1. is a crevice that will put him at a 45 degree angle about 12 inches down right under a MH. 2. on the right side of the tank about 6 inches down on a flat surface. on the angle i am afraid he might not get enough light and the flat surface, i was thinking he might move and fall off the rock. any suggestions?

thanks in advance.

mine absolutly refused to be in my rocks but i have had him on the sand bed for the last 6 months which i guess is moderate success and he is looking very good so i think it is ok for them to be on the sandbed and many people seem to agree you just have to make sure to check for perimed snails around the base you have to be a little more careful when they are in the sand and you might want to put a rock under the sand for him to attach to and will make it more comfortable
