Last night I noticed of of my 2 croceas had its mantle very retracted and its mouth very wide open. Upon inspection it had detached it foot. It will open more during the day but not what it used to. It still responds if I wave my hand be it and the light, or to touch, it will retract more and close.
My other 3 clams, anothe crocea, deresa and squasmosa are all fine. This clam had been a happy camper in my tank for the past year. Although he had never settled down to the point where he attached to a rock in that time.
He's under about 18" of water with 2 250 MH. Ca at 370, Alk at 3.6meq. Nitrates around 2.
Is it dead? Anything I can do to help it survive, or heal quicker?
