Crocea in small tank?

What's the biggest a crocea can get? I have a bare bottom with a display about 20x12 with a few rocks. Would one be comfortable when the tank matures?

i would think so. as long as they're getting enough light, and high enough up in the rock work.

i've had mine a few years now, it's probably about 6ish inches shell length. hasn't really grown in size much since i got it, but has put on weight and additional shell material. they seem to sort of grow in width once they hit their max size, adding layers inside the shell, sort of like an onion.

Rosewater (1965) reported that a shell length of 15cm is the maximum size for T. crocea, making it the smallest of the giant clams.

15cm is near-as-makes-no-difference to 6 inches.
