crocea on starboard?

I have had the clam for a while now. And decided to put it on the starboard to make room in my tank. It does not want to stay upright. I have another crocea on the bottom and it seems happy. Any suggestions? TIA-PAul

so I was checking the clam out and I noticed a piece of rubble still attached to is foot. I gently pulled on it and out came the foot:eek2: is this as bad as it seems? Or do they shed the foot and regrow new one?

I did a search and they are said to come back. I was worried because it seemed as if I caused it to come off.

How's the little guy doing? I have a clam on the SB myself and am wondering how I'm going to move him now ... :(

usually they will recover make sure to but a small piece of rock or something underneath so he has something to attach to and u can move him easily without damage

Woohoo! Another poster ... what kind of rock should be placed underneath? ie: how big is the 'foot'?

More importantly, if it attaches to the Starboard and is 'stuck' to it, how do you move it? I don't want to just yank on it :(

i small piece of live rock.....as flat as possible.....if they are stuck somewhere you dont want them the best thing to do is take a new....clean...razor and cut the foot clean right at the bottom where it as attached on the starboard,glass,etc.....you never want to just grab a clam and pull on him.......that can easily damage them to the point of no return........
