my one crocea is attached to a rock and when it fully extends its mantle it lays on a rock. Will this cause an irritation especially since fish swim over and it retracts quickly or is it ok?

Also it attached to a rock on the bottom of tank that is 24 inches deep and a ballast went out of my t5s so it is under two 96 watt pc and 108watts of t5 is this enough or should i move the rock up slowly?

my other crocea never put its foot down been week try to move it to find a better spot or leave it alone?

how long usually does it take to see growth...i swear both started another row of scutes. Is the what the are?

I think it will be fine as long as the rock don't hinder the mantle extension.

It is better to use PAR to determine the light levels and I would move the clam up at least until your T5s come back.

It is probably that the clam does not like where it is at. Try moving it towards more light. If it still does not stick, it could have byssal problem.

It depends on your water parameters and how acclimated the clam is to your tank. The growth can be seen as a white clean shell layer under the mantle.

thank you for the reply it doesn't hinder the extension it just lays it over the rock. the smaller clam died neverr seemed happy and i slowly moved it around and up more towards light but it didn't make it. was smaller and never seemed and healthy as other one
