Cross braces or no?

Having a custom tank done - I wanted 84x30(deep)x30(high) - but builder says anything over 25 high has to have cross bracing. This would have two. And to top it off, that extra viewing space of 4" and 54 gallons would be 1k more...

So I can do 84x30x30 with two. Cross braces, stainless steel trim for an extra 1k

Or

84x30x25 Eurobrace no cross braces.

I'm leaning heavily to no cross braces as I remember them being a HUGH PITA on my little old 75 but am I making to big a deal about it on something this size?

My 30 inch tall tank is a pain to reach the bottom. I'll never go that deep again. 24-25 inches is perfect I think. Get what you want-no cross braces!

What type of lighting do you plan to use? I ran MH on my previous 210 w/cross braces and they split from the heat.
