Crosshatch pair in a acrylic tank

Anyone have tried them in a acrylic tank?I had a tusk and he scratched mine pretty bad dont want to have to go through that agin and where I live if I did get them I would would have to give them away if it does not work out.I am eyeing the male and female on DD

My female when she was alive, never messed with my acrylic tank. And so far neither has my tusk.

I have a pair of them in my acrylic circular tank and neither one has scratched the tank. When the male first got in the tank, he paced back and forth, like he was fighting his image but never scratched the tank.
