is that your brand of chioce? i been using instant ocean for 2 years but was thinking of trying something different and was wondering who uses what and any suggestions on who is better?

i think they only carry instant ocean and it is like 39.99 or something like that.

There are at least 5-6 types they carry. I am not positive if they have "Crystal of the Sea" though. How far away do you live? Always worth driving by an LFS even if they don't have what you need I'm sure there will be an animal you haven't seen before.

Its Crystal Sea Marine mix. its 150 gallons in a box, not a bucket. I think its $25.

Here is the scoop on Crystal Sea Salt. It does come in a 150 gallon box and it is mixed in Baltimore MD. I looked into this stuff before I switched from Reef Crystals and the assay reports show the same levels of CA, MG and SG as reef crystals. I know it is a far drive but it's worth it because you can pick up a box for $19.99 at Hidden Reef in Levittown PA or at Aquarium Center in Blackwood NJ. I have been using it for almost a year and I am hooked.

Yeah, I have used MEI Crystal Sea Marine mix for the past 8 years. no problem. Like they said, its made pretty locally in Baltimore. I buy it in the box and save a couple bucks for the plastic bucket. I mean, after a while, i can only use so many empty buckets. SO PA has been carrying some boxes of their upscale mix. the Bio Assay mix, which is kinda like going from IO to Reef crystals. more Ca. Mg mins and stuff.
I too have gone to hidden reef, aquarium centers in baltimore and Nj. to buy it for less. but PA's price is about the same for the better stuff, Bio Assay, considering the cost of driving and tolls and sales tax. so im getting it here. less driving. last i saw, he was running low. time to restock.
