Css 125 help

I bought a coralife super skimmer in April for my 75 gallon tank. Today, I noticed little to no bubble production. I cleaned every thing out, put it back together, and still no bubbles. Nothing is broken, that I can see. I did a mod to the needle wheel with fishing line. The skimmer has done a great job for me so far.

Any ideas why the bubbles have stopped.

I know its kind of lame, but I have an air pump hooked up to the tubing connected to the venturi chamber. This is producing bubble and skimmate.

Thanks for any help,
Phil

The tubing is clean. I even tried new tubing with out any luck. I don't seem to get any suction from the pump. Is a needle wheel pump suppose to suck air in?

Did you check the plastic piece that the air hose runs on, I have seen those clog up on CSS65 before and really reduce the air flow. If that is clear how many wraps of fishing line did you use, to many can hinder bubble production.

I had the same thing this morning on my 220. Look on the inlet of the airline at the pump end. Pull off the tubing and I think you will see salt creep blocking the inlet to your venturi. Good luck and let me know if I can be more help.

That's it alright. I clean the port that the tubing slides onto with an unbent paper clip when it clogs up like that.
