Cuban Hog has *pop eye*...

I have a 150g 6ft. tank. Cuban Hog was bought just over a week ago. Looked great until yesterday when I noticed he was sticking his body into the rocks and hasn't been as active as when I first got him. I noticed his right eye was puffed up. In freshwater, it's called pop eye. What can I do? I don't really want to put unnecessary medicine into the tank. Don't have a seperate tank at the moment to QT it either. Should I just let him fight it out naturally?

jmo go get a small qt tank so if you do medicate the water your not treating all that water.

if you run carbons remove them.. if you have s skimmer turn it off then treat the display tank with melafix for 7 days ..this will not harm inverts or corals but it may tick the corals off a tad..pop eye can be a cause of a few things to name a few ..poor water quality....injury which has become infected..

i would check all water perimeters be sure they are all up to par.. then treat as directed
