CUC and Triggers

We've been putting together our 125g tank and plan on keeping aggressive fish, mostly likely triggers.

Is there anything I can use as a CUC or should I get used to manual cleaning?

Maybe a long spine urchin?

All ideas welcome!

Manual cleaning......of course instead of biting a CUC they will now bite you.

Enjoy, triggers are wonderful fish...

yeah, most trigs are urchin killing machines...that is why their bodies (esp lagoon trigs) are shaped they way they are...long faces and the eyes set back...eyes are set back so they dont get damaged when attacking urchins...

When I was keeping triggers I always had small hermits and snails (bumblebee and nassarius) with them. Some will get picked off here and there, but they eventually smarten up and learn to stay in the rockwork until night.

I keep lots of hermits with my trigs...from small Blue-legged to huge, fist-sized reds...the reds are quite aggressive and will stand up to a curious trigger...but, they do learn to come out only when the lights are off...some do get picked-off but that is great for the trigs- allows them to be the predators they are...
