Cupramine effect on live saltwater plants

Well I recently converted my so called QT to a tank with saltwater plants, I have codium, mangroves, and red berry sea grape plants, with sand and live rock. Just put a small raccoon butterflyfish in there, and apparently has ich. I have used your product many times over the years with great success. My question is, will it kill the live plants in the tank? Thinking it would I did just do one dose of Kent Marine RX"¢P, which is safer, but not nearly affective as cupramine, just thought, possibly I can use it. I did keep my carbon in, as a safety feature, knowing it should hit hard, and then be removed. Would like to begin dosing cupramine, if safe for the plants tomorrow. So would the plants be ok, and secondly, knowing I have carbon in, and a very small dose of vodka the night before, would it be safe putting in the cupramine tomorrow, once again, as long as it won't kill my saltwater plants, although the raccoon is more important.

Disolved, reactive copper is toxic to marine plants, but because of the way the copper in Cupramine is bound it might not kill them. I would contact Seachem, either directly or by posting in their vendor forum here on RC.

You will have to remove the carbon or it will remove the Cupramine from the water. Its not usually a good idea to mix medications, so I would at least do a large water change before adding any more medications unless you know they are safe to use together.

I've had a couple balls of chaeto in a QT tank with Cupramine, and haven't seen any ill effects for the last 3 weeks.
