Curing dry rock and letting it dry again?

So I am 8-12months from moving into my new home. Ive researched extensively for months and I'm slowly acquiring stuff for my 40 breeder build.

I plan on using dry rock and doing the bleach/acid/LC/ salt water bath method to remove any unwanted phosphates. I've read that people let their rock sit for as much as 8 months while doing water changes to get the rock phosphate free.

I was wondering if I can do this at my parents house (landlord says no way to a tank so setting it up now is out of the question) so the rock is phosphate free when I need it. The only problem is the possibility of there being a couple months of dry time in between.

So I was wondering if I were to take the rock out of the bath and let it dry again, would it still be phosphate free when I go to cycle it in my tank? I know it won't be cycled of course- more concerned with the phosphate. thanks

Sure it's kind of a law of physics, matter cannot be created or destroyed. There is Xg of phosphate in the rock if you remove all of it, let the rock dry and keep it clean you're good to go.

I do this all of the time.
