Curing Dry Rock

I've been curing/cooking 50lbs of Fiji Dry Live Rock from BRS for the past couple of weeks in a rubbermaid tub in my garage with a heater and powerhead. The water is now clear, there is no smell whatsoever, and the ammonia is holding at zero.

Im in the process of setting up a brand new tank now. Is it safe to take these rocks out of the tub and get started with the new tank (sand, RODI SW, rock)? There will be no life in the new tank until its completely cycled.

I think so. /that is my understanding of how rock cycling works.

it's fine. i like to add the rocks first, then sand around it. some fish like to dig tunnels. after all that, add some ammonia source to start the cycle.

Thanks guys. I just wasn't sure if I needed to wait for the nitrite and nitrate to zero out also.
